Stress is an unavoidable part of life and some stress is actually positive. It can give us energy, enthusiasm, and excitement about what we're doing, as well as keep us challenged. We each vary in how much stress is actually positive or negative for us.
The type of stress that tends to be challenging for individuals is the stress which accompanies a loss of control in one or more aspects of their life. It is when our equilibrium is thrown off and we feel out of balance, that it sometimes makes it more difficult to cope in a manner that is constructive.
Monica Ferkin specializes in working with people who are striving to better manage their stress. She offers support, assists them in regaining a sense of control in their lives, guides them in developing a more positive outlook and purpose in life, and helps them in recognizing their inner value and self-esteem.
