Chinese folklore says there is an invisible thread connecting those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break. Adopting a child is the miracle many of us dream of. It is a time of extreme excitement as we await our precious child and travel half-way around the world to begin our forever family. The process can be fraught with uncertainty and anxiety as prospective parents wait, sometimes for years to finally hold their beloved child.
